📍Heart of Recife
In the historic neighborhood of Recife Antigo, the area where Marco Zero — the city’s symbolic landmark — is located, and which is also home to Porto Digital, one of the largest technology and creative economy hubs in Brazil. The event will take place in three buildings belonging to CESAR and CESAR School, nationally recognized institutions in innovation, technology, and design education, providing participants with an immersive experience that brings together historical heritage, academic production, and the innovation ecosystem in one of the country’s most emblematic and dynamic territories.

The 16th Brazilian Congress on Design Research and Development (P&D Design 2026) will be held in Recife, a city that encapsifies the tensions and potentials of contemporary design: between the local and the global, the popular and the technological, memory and innovation.
Much like the premises evoked by Manguebeat: roots planted in the mangrove, but with a satellite dish on the head pointed toward the world.
Event Location
Avenida Cais do Apolo, 77 | Recife - PE
